Storytelling Club
Fibs and Fables is a monthly club for anyone who is interested in storytelling. We meet on the 2nd Monday of every month in a former apple picker's barn on the outskirts of Clophill in Bedfordshire to tell stories by firelight and share tea and cake.

The club has been running for almost 20 years and celebrates the age old tradition of oral storytelling.
​
We always welcome new members, whether it is to come and tell a story or just listen. All we ask is that there is no reading!
​
Whether you are new to storytelling or an accomplished teller, you will be welcomed and supported in a friendly and nurturing environment.
Meeting Dates 2019/ 2020
Each month there is a suggested theme for our stories. However, this is not rigid and used as guidance only. If you have a different story to tell we'd love to hear it.

Arrive 7.30 for 8pm until 10ish. First visit free; thereafter £4 a month or £30 for a year.

Established in 2001,The Clophill Centre is a tranquil place for complimentary medicine and has facilities for hire by local groups.
The Clophill Centre is a central location for people travelling from North Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

Events
Ampthill Literary Festival 2020 TBC

Friends and Fables This is an annual event where family and friends are invited along to hear some of our favourite stories we've told throughout the year. The evening culminates with a story served with tea and scones (or similar). Date Friday 21st June 7pm
​
Feast and Fables This is an annual event and the highlight of our year. Held during our December meeting, this is a festive 'bring and share supper' served with a feast of short stories. Date Monday December 9th 2019
